Match-maker, Match-maker, Win Me
a Match, Find Me a Goal, Catch Me a Snitch

Quidditch has finally returned to the Hogwarts grounds, after what must have
been a very long year for many students. But along with Quidditch, something
else has returned to Hogwarts that this young reporter did not expect to see.
For Quidditch, it seems, is a good way of finding yourself a boyfriend or
girlfriend.
It sounds strange, but “strange emotions ignite on the pitch. And they’re not
only strange, they are rather strong and passionate” said Lellybelly Froglegs,
seventh year Gryffindor Seeker.
And of course, this is to be expected based solely on how competitive the race
for the Quidditch Cup is every year, and how forceful some of the players can be
in their attempts to win it.
But how can such a violent and stressful sport come to play matchmaker for so
many students in the school? The answer is simple, and has everything to do with
time, with all that practice time they spend together.
The Ravenclaw team, in particular, spends a great deal of time together, and as
a whole are very close. “They are my best friends,” said Krystela Hextor, fifth
year Ravenclaw regarding the members of her Quidditch team. Because of this, it
is really no surprise that four members of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team are
dating, among them Feuris Dragonsbane, whose admitted to finding love because of
Quidditch.
Love on the pitch is not exclusive to Ravenclaw, though. Our very own Head Boy
has been dating Ms. Froglegs for almost his entire time at Hogwarts, and
divulged that he is very much in love with her.
It is not only those on the same team who seem to be drawn together because of
Quidditch. Although they insisted that there was nothing there, two other
members of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team appeared to become rather flustered when
asked about certain Quidditch players.
